Real work. Real wages. A place to belong.
2025–2026 Impact Report. For 11 years, GETincluded has worked toward one vision: a community that supports social inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, neurodivergence, and their families across their lifespan. Beyond a paycheck, employment offers purpose, agency, growth, and belonging.
Our impact since 2019
68 paid employees since 2019
35,000+ hours of free employment training
$1M+ in payroll
200+ people on our waitlist
While serving:
76,000+ cups of coffee
62,000+ lattes
14,000+ breakfast sandwiches
194,000+ sales
Stepping off a cliff at graduation
Every year, over 100,000 young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and neurodivergence graduate from supportive school environments and step off a cliff. The services, friendships, community and purpose they had disappear overnight.
For adults with IDD and neurodivergence: more than 80% are unemployed, 50% live with chronic loneliness, and more than 20% live in poverty.
GET Café has spent seven years proving there is a better way. We’ve trained more than 100 people, many of whom had no real path to a job, and more than 200 are waiting for a spot.
Where the money goes
91¢ of every dollar goes straight to the mission. In fiscal 2025 we spent $385,391 on direct costs and just $34,258 on overhead, out of $419,649 in total expenses. Revenue was $435,873, so we finished the year in the black, as we have consistently, and grew our cash reserves.
Coffee pays most of the bills
Fiscal 2025: $339,645 in café sales and $96,228 in donations.
Every cup you buy keeps someone working. Donations cover the extra support that makes the model work.
[TO FILL IN: Add 2023 and 2024 figures, wages by year, and the “founders have never been paid” line? Those come from the 990s and books, not the Impact Report.]
A permanent home at 301 Haverford Avenue
The road ahead. The new GET Café will have a full commercial kitchen, an expanded menu and a soft-serve ice cream walk-up window, plus a full-time occupational therapist, a chef and nonprofit staff. We are raising $1.5 million to finish the buildout and fund the people who make it work for three years.
2026: capital campaign and construction. 2027: new location opens with an expanded menu. 2028: workforce training program. 2029: corporate catering launches. 2031: employment pipeline, with job placement at outside employers.
People empowered by GET: 65 in 2025, 100 with the expanded menu and soft-serve, and 130+ once catering launches.

Expanding our impact
In 2025 we exported our model. Our consultants and clinicians shared our training protocols, operational know-how and therapeutic approach with Jim Vail, the parent of a young adult with IDD. Ryan’s Rise Up Cafe opened in Glen Mills, PA, and was supporting 60 people with IDD with employment training within three months of opening its doors.
In 2026 we joined Pennsylvania-wide roundtable discussions with the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) and the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR), organized by First Lady Shapiro’s office.

In their words
“I love coming to work every day. I get to know all of the regulars at the café. I like to help the other members of the staff learn skills because I learn more from them than I could teach. There is a sense of belonging I receive from working at the GET Café that I have never had before at other jobs. I feel totally accepted despite all of my differences.” Senior staff member
“My son’s shifts at GET Café give him purpose and are his primary avenue for socializing. They have noticeably slowed the progression of his dementia. The café has also become a second home for me. GETincluded has realized a vision of belonging I once only hoped for my son.” Parent
“Through meaningful work experiences, GET Café employees build confidence and valuable life and job skills that carry over into their homes and the community. I saw firsthand how small adjustments to teaching methods or the level of support provided can make a huge difference in the employees’ confidence and success.” Occupational therapy student
“GET Café is an extremely welcoming and accommodating space for anyone. I can confidently say that GET Café improves the quality of life for the people with disabilities they employ and serve, as well as life for the residents of Narberth and the Main Line.” GET Café customer
