Support that lasts
Most employment programs offer short-term help and then step away. We do things differently. At GET Café, support is tailored to each person and continues for as long as it’s useful.
What this looks like
Individualized: therapeutic supports that adapt as skills grow.
Real setting: work happens in the natural environment of the café, alongside coworkers and customers. Training draws on occupational therapy, speech therapy, applied behavior analysis, and community health nursing.
No end date: support stays available for as long as it’s useful.
Whole person: a focus on skills, communication, sensory needs, and peer learning. Everyone has something to teach and something to learn.
The cliff of 22
“We call it the cliff of 22. Kids receive incredible support and thoughtful planning in the school system, but that all falls off after age 21.”
Brooke Goodspeed, co-founder, in Main Line Parent (2025)
GET Café is our answer: a real job in a real café, with support that doesn’t stop at a birthday.
Learning together
We work with universities including Thomas Jefferson, Villanova, Penn, Bryn Mawr, and Widener. Occupational therapy students alone have contributed thousands of hours, bringing fresh ideas while gaining hands-on experience.

GET Café Camp at Camino Farms
In August 2026, GET Café Camp brought about 20 campers with disabilities to Camino Farms in East Greenville for a week of overnight camp with 1:1 buddies: swimming, an animal-therapy barn, arts and crafts, campfires and stargazing. Our job-training curriculum came too. Campers made granola to sell at the café. Caregivers had a retreat of their own.
[TO FILL IN: Keep camp on the site? If yes, how did it go, and is it coming back in 2027? Details above were pieced together from Drive files, please check.]
