About GETincluded

GETincluded is a nonprofit that runs GET Café and related programs. We create spaces where people of all abilities can work, learn, and belong, right here in the community.

Our mission & vision

Our mission: GETincluded creates inclusive employment, employment training, and community spaces where people of all abilities can contribute, belong, and thrive.

Through GET Café and related programs, we deliver long-term, individualized support in natural settings so that neurodivergent individuals and people with disabilities experience meaningful employment training and genuine community inclusion.

Our vision: We envision a world that values and celebrates the unique strengths, perspectives and rich contributions that neurodiverse individuals and people with disabilities bring to our shared communities.

Our core values: Inclusion, Empowerment, Community and Purpose.

It started with Oliver

GETincluded began as a dream of Brooke and Jon Goodspeed in 2010, shortly after their second child, Oliver, was born. Oliver has multiple developmental and medical conditions. Raising him alongside his brother and sister has brought the family more growth and joy than they can measure. It also showed them, up close, the stigma, misconceptions, and closed doors that people with disabilities and their families face every day.

That clearer view became a vision of acceptance and inclusion for the Philadelphia area. With a team of dedicated neighbors, the Goodspeeds designed GET Café: a coffee shop and community space where people of all abilities work, learn, and belong. Today we combine real employment with ongoing, individualized support so people can build skills and relationships that last.
